Why and how we process your data

We collect and process your data when you register, book or make a purchase with us. We also collect information from third parties about you as a representative of your professional role or your interest when we judge that you may have an interest in fairs/events/conferences. When you have registered for one of our events/fairs/conferences, our communication to you will consist of, among other things:

  • A confirmation via e-mail, SMS or post
  • Any invoice by post or e-mail
  • E-mail with information as well as newsletters and marketing about events/fairs/conferences and about similar events/fairs/conferences that we think you might be interested in
  • Newsletters from our company and other companies that we collaborate with, such as the fair’s sponsors

However, we cooperate with other companies and organizations that may access your personal data if it is necessary to fulfill our obligations towards you as a participant or if the recipient is an external or internal supplier that we engage to assist us technically with any part of our arrangement. Some events are jointly owned or sponsored by us with another party. In these cases, the personal data and marketing of the event may be handled by this party. This can be seen from the respective event’s website, which sponsors the fair and has access to your data.

– Your personal data will be shared with suppliers so that we can administer your registration for the event, e.g. to the provider providing ticketing systems, conference registration and logistics.
– We will share your personal data with a supplier in order to keep your data accurate, i.e. to update your contact details.
– We may share the images or videos in which you as a participant are visible in our marketing, digital channels, exhibitors’ channels and partners’ channels. All of these may share images and videos from the event, where visitors, exhibitors, partners, participants, speakers and other participants are visible.

For certain purposes, when we communicate with you in the capacity of your professional role, we process your personal data based on a balancing of interests as the legal basis for the processing. If you are a professional in a certain industry or have visited a trade event and we have arrangements in this or a similar industry, we will save your data as long as you are an important person for us in our professional relationship. We carry out continuous cleanings to update the database and if it comes to our attention that your duties have changed or if you have changed employers, your data will be updated or deleted. You can also choose to unsubscribe from marketing at any time or contact us to be deleted. The text above also applies to all exhibitors, partners, sponsors, lecturers and speakers as well as other contributors to the event’s content.

Cleaning and updating our databases

For us, it is important to have an accurate database and we carry out several activities with, for example, the following measures;

Photography and filming of our fairs/events/conferences

During our events, photographers can take pictures/film exhibitors/visitors and other participants who participate in the event. The images may be used for advertising purposes for the event in printed material or digital channels. If you do not wish to participate in these photographs or videos, you must contact Developers Shore to investigate whether there are options to prevent this. The event is a closed location and photography and filming are part of the arrangement. All photography and filming is done in a respectful manner and aims to enhance the visitors’ experience.

Rights to influence how we process your personal data

When we process your personal data, you have certain rights to e.g. gain access to which data we process or have data deleted. To exercise your rights, please contact us. You can, for example;

Right to rectification. You can request that we correct any incorrect personal data or supplement them free of charge.
